PICTURE BOOK AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR CHOICE

Julie Flett and Monique Gray Smith

For too long there has been too little focus on the voices and art forms of indigenous writers.  This is the year to change that.  The books that these two incredible writers create are sure to become heart books, books that stay with us long after the project is over.  All of the books here will lead us to be something more…

  1. Michelle Mangan says:

What should we do about the Week 4 picture book, A Day with Yayah, being out of stock? I ordered 10 copies on September 12th through Amazon, but there is still no estimate of when it will be back in stock.

  2. Cynthia Proffitt says:

I just want to thank you for the wonderful book Refugee. My fifth-grade students are still talking about the book, and they connect it to every piece of literature we read. It will leave a lasting impact on every student in my class.
