As we get ready to dive into the incredible book that is A Boy Called Bat written by Elana K. Arnold for the Global Read Aloud, I have more incredible news to share. Not only is she going to be answering your questions on videos every week, she will also be giving 20 (!!!!) free 30 min skype visits to lucky classrooms!
All you have to do is enter on this form and then I will pull random winners on September 16th so that Elana has a chance to reach out to everyone. This contest is open to the world, but just make sure that the timezone difference is not impossible for her to work with.
Please note that Elana also offers up longer Skype visits for a fee, as well as author visits. She is an incredibly dynamic author who mesmerizes kids and adults alike with her storytelling. She would be an incredible addition to your school year.

I would LOVE to win a skype classroom visit!
I read the book and cannot wait to read to my new class. Empathy is so apparent in the characters and the. reader. I had to buy the second one as soon as I finished it.

Very exciting! The Google Form to sign up for a Skype visit requires a number in the name/email/location fields, so cannot submit… yet 🙂
Not sure what you mean, it looks fine on my end. I know you have to be on a computer to fill in the form though

I am on a laptop; I am guessing on your end as the form creator, you need to change the field options for the answers to text, as it must be numbers at the moment.
As of now, we cannot fill out the form, but I am sure with a few tweaks, we will be all set!

I am having the same issue with the Google Form…the email and school fields give me a “must be a number” error message so I am unable to submit my entry.
